Replacing plastics with biodegradable plastics is only the beginning, we also need to remove as much plastic as we can from the oceans and landfills and also replace paper and cardboard to save our trees and rain forests. Just these few things can help restart the Earth's natural carbon filter, our oceans and forest's. Hemp can be used in many ways and the more hemp we grow the more we help our farmers. The more farmers start growing hemp the more ways we can utilize this amazing plant for the good of the planet and humanity.
Thank you sincerely Christopher Allison Hello.
I am a lifetime Massachusetts resident and an advocate for cannabis and I have been sharing my love for this plant for over 20 years now. As the emergence of the industry grows here in Massachusetts I would like to share some of my thoughts and views with you today. I believe it is absolutely imperative that we think of expungement social equity and economic empowerment when we move forward with cannabis business here in Massachusetts and in the United States. Cannabis has had an overbearing negative and unjust stigma attached to it for far too many years now and it's time to make a change. It has also been widely used as a way to discriminate against Race and poverty laden disproportionate communities and The associated negative stigma that has been attached to this plant has impacted this beautiful community of creative loving human beings and it's gone on for far too long. I believe we need to support and give back to the communities that were impacted in this industry year's before big corporations and big money decided to take a hold of and start pulling the carpet right out from underneath the feet of the existing Massachusetts cannabis communitys. Just knowing how much good it can do within the medical field alone is only scratching the surface of what this plant can do for all of us To grow. I personally believe that all cannabis use is medicinal and important for the well being of those who need it the most, and of course for those who are legally able to purchase it can now just enjoy the benefits. As we speak, there are a lists of jobs that are being created that can help out the ones that need it the most. our communities. Cannabis is now legal here in Massachusetts, as well as 10 + other states in the U.S and things are moving very fast, we can not forget to give back to our communities and watch them thrive. We also need to expunged non-violent cannabis offenders and help them and their families that have been negatively impacted. I'm here today to support the local cannabis industry's and I urge the C.C.C. to award the social consumption and delivery only licenses to our own local Massachusetts residents. I also Urge the C.C.C to support Social Equity and Economic Empowerment Applicants as one of their top priority's. This is creating local businesses and jobs for everyone, not just delivery services and social consumption, its creating jobs in entertainment and music, cultivation science security and compliance not to mention the medical side of things and all of the wonderful benefits of hemp! but that's just to name a few. Not only is Massachusetts cannabis going to help create jobs within the industry and our communities, it will help create and support jobs outside of the industry as well, and the taxes will help us fix our roads support our schools our neighborhoods and our parks . We have the people right here locally in our communitys that can make this industry thrive and we need to support them . The voices, The advocates, the activists and the local influential pioneers that have paved this road through prohibition in Massachusetts. So many have fought for this and need to still have thier part within the industry. I'm urging the C.C.C. to help make it easy for them to do so. my name is Christopher Allison thank you so much for listening. Late night rant
I believe we can still fix this planet , we need to rebuild our soils, replant our forests remove our plastic's and plant a bunch of hemp! regenerative organic agriculture combined with other Eco friendly resources and the answer is at our fingertips, from solar and wind, Geo thermal to biodegradable plastics and bio fuels the energy is right in front of us. Hemp will be amazing if we could all utilize it ! There are lists of things that can be replaced with this wonderful plant not to mention the farms that will benefit and the jobs it will create. Yes i am aware the concerns about outdoor sinsemilla and cbd flower farms 💚 believe me I'm a pretty big fan of it myself. What we really need to figure out is a plan of attack, zoning so that large local farms can utilize their fields for a beneficial industrial hemp crop every year or just even a rotation while not pollinating the flower down the street. Indoor filtered green houses with light dep and climate control perhaps? Farming community's, mom and pops and big industry all working together ! A Self sufficient, sustainable Eco friendly community is what i dream of when in deep thoughts of hemp while smoking my favorite flower. i want to save the planet. end rant |
